Join Smarty Pants as we head under the waves to learn all about life in the oceans as we kick-off this year's Summer Reading Program: Dive Into Reading! Smarty Pants' Balloons Under the Sea is a hilariously fun program featuring magic, all-ages comedy, interactive storytelling and, of course, Smarty’s award-winning, larger than life balloons! Enroll In Our Summer Reading Challenge via BEANSTACK:
Monday, May 23-Sunday, July 31
Sun. Sand. Surf. Join us on the beach as we Dive Into Reading. From sea-inspired stories, STEM and crafts, participants will engage in fun challenges and activities, track their reading, and earn badges online using BEANSTACK: a FREE and user-friendly mobile app. (Don't worry: you can also use Beanstack on your desktop.) You can register as an individual, family, or organization/class/school!
Grab your suit + snorkel! We're doing a deep-dive into reading!
The more reading challenges and activities you complete, the more badges you earn! The more badges you earn, the more chances you have to win prizes.
INDIVIDUALS (All Ages):
For every 5 Badges you earn, your name will be entered to win from our prize drawings, held weekly! For our adult readers, we'll also have hidden prizes along the way. So, Beanstack will inform you when you've completed one of our mystery Golden-Ticket activities to receive a special prize!
FAMILIES:
The FAMILY that reads the most and completes the most activities will win a 1-YEAR FAMILY PASS to the Discovery Center & Museum of Rockford.
TWEEN/TEEN INDIVIDUALS (Ages 10-17):
Any TWEEN/TEEN INDIVIDUAL who reads 5 books and completes at least 2 activity badges will be entered to win a Beach Themed Gift Basket.
ADULT INDIVIDUALS (Ages 18+):
Yep, we're sending you to an imaginary beach, somewhere South of the border, for a cold cocktail and some tasty chips and guac (or, whatever else you want to order)! Any ADULT INDIVIDUAL who reads 10 books will be entered to win a $50 Gift Certificate to Rockford's own Lucha Cantina. Complete 5 activity badges, and you'll get a bonus entry for the grand prize!
